Tilila Babouche Mule
The babouche is Morocco's oldest silhouette — a pointed slipper worn for centuries in the medinas of Fez and Marrakech. The Tilila is our version: hand-woven raffia over a supple leather sole, shaped and stitched entirely by hand in our Marrakech atelier.
— Hand-woven natural raffia upper
— Veg-tanned leather sole and insole
— Made by hand in Marrakech, Morocco
— Each pair is unique; slight variations in weave are the signature of handwork
Care Instructions
Raffia is a natural fiber and handles water well — a light rain or a splash won't harm your flats.
If they do get wet, let them dry fully in the sun before wearing them again. Natural materials absorb moisture, and drying completely keeps the weave firm and the shape true.
To clean, wipe gently with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking, machine washing, or direct heat sources like radiators.
Please Note
Each pair is woven entirely by hand. Slight variations in weave and tone are natural and part of what makes your pair yours.
