Our Story

Made in Marrakech, by hands we know by name.

MARRAVIE was founded by Hiba, born and raised in Marrakech. She grew up surrounded by the city's craft: raffia drying in courtyards, baskets taking shape on women's laps, and techniques passed down without ever being written.

MARRAVIE is her way of bringing that craft to the world, with care and without shortcuts.

The women behind every piece

Each pair of shoes and every bag is handwoven by women artisans in Marrakech and the surrounding communities. Hiba works with them directly. She visits the workshops, agrees each design with them, and makes sure the work is fairly valued. There are no middlemen and no factories. Each piece is made slowly, by one pair of hands.

Where we come from

MARRAVIE didn't start from nothing. For more than a decade, our family has produced and exported Moroccan handwoven goods through our wholesale company. We supply boutiques around the world.

After years of seeing our work sold under other names, we decided it was time for a label of our own. MARRAVIE uses the same artisans and the same standard of craft, and it now carries our name.

A family house

Hiba leads the brand and its relationships with the artisans. Her husband, Reda, built MARRAVIE alongside her and looks after its online presence, marketing and growth. Between them, every order is handled by someone who knows exactly where your piece was made, and by whom.
